never heard of bone flu but possibly refers to dengue fever which is also known as dandy fever or breakbone fever as it causes severe joint pain. Caused by a bite from the Aedes mosquito which unlike the Anopheles mosquitos that bite mainly at night and cause malaria, these mozzies attack during the day. There are I think about 4 types of dengue so having contracted it you are not immune from getting one of the other strains. And it can take months to recover, but the good news is that most people do recover fully from typical dengue fever. It is only sometimes when contracting it again it can develop into hemorrhagic dengue which can be serious with about a 50% mortality rate.
